Volunteer Compliance & Participation Notice

Individuals interested in volunteering are invited to complete our Volunteer Interest & Intake Form, available under Support & Referrals.





Volunteer Code of Conduct**


Volunteers with Collaboration2gether, Inc. are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, respect, and accountability while serving individuals, families, and communities.


1. Commitment to Mission & Faith Alignment

Volunteers are expected to support the mission and values of Collaboration2gether, Inc., serving with compassion, humility, and respect. Faith-based activities are grounded in servant leadership, prayer, and community care, while honoring the beliefs and dignity of all individuals served.

2. Professional & Ethical Conduct

Volunteers shall:

  • Treat all participants with respect, fairness, and courtesy
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries at all times
  • Refrain from discriminatory, abusive, or harassing behavior
  • Avoid conflicts of interest or misuse of authority

3. Safety & Compliance

Volunteers must comply with all applicable safety guidelines and program requirements, including those aligned with:

  • South Carolina Department of Social Services (DSS)
  • Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ)
  • School-based and charter school partners
  • Community and faith-based service standards

Depending on role, volunteers may be subject to background screening, training, and supervision.

4. Confidentiality

All information regarding participants, families, or cases is strictly confidential. Volunteers shall not disclose personal, identifying, or sensitive information without proper authorization.

5. Mandatory Reporting

Volunteers understand that certain roles may require mandatory reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of vulnerable individuals, in accordance with South Carolina law and agency guidelines.

6. Appropriate Use of Technology & Communication

Volunteers may not use personal devices or social media to photograph, record, or communicate with participants unless expressly authorized.

7. Accountability

Failure to adhere to this Code of Conduct may result in corrective action, reassignment, or termination of volunteer service.


Acknowledgment

By participating as a volunteer, individuals acknowledge their responsibility to adhere to this Code of Conduct and all applicable program guidelines.
